Questionnaire for the headmaster – results

 

The questionnaire titled Questionnaire for the headmaster has been carried out in the Upper Secondary School Complex in Sadowne after the first year of the Comenius project “Health and nutrition without borders”. The questions, which were divided into two parts, were related to the evaluation of specific project aims fulfilment and to its influence on variety of the students’ and the teachers’ competencies. The respondents were the headmaster and the vice-headmaster of the school.

 

 

Both the headmasters gave the same answers to the first part questions called “In relation to the specific aims of the project” of the survey. They indicated the highest rate in the following questions:

 

1.      Has the project enhanced the awareness of the importance of healthy eating?

3.      Has it promoted socio-cultural relationship among students?

The research shows that the project has fostered the knowledge of different cultural models and promoted socio-cultural relationship among students. The produced materials are perceived as consistent with the expectations. Apart from that the project enhanced the awareness of the importance of healthy eating habits. Thus one may claim the project has reached the expected aims.

 

The second part of the questions titled “In relation to the school institute” was related to the school. It included 10 questions. The authorities gave the same answers to nine questions assessing the rate %, which means they totally agree  in the assessment of the Comenius project effects. They claim the project promoted the acquisition of the European dimension at our school.

 

According to the answers, the project was not easy to make it part of the school curriculum. However, it has fostered the adoption of multidisciplinarity and enhanced the students’ competence in foreign languages and the use of ICT. Besides, it has promoted innovations of didactic methodologies. The answer to only one question related to the project implement to school curriculum difficult varies. It was evaluated with the rate “two” and “three”. It may result from different responsibilities the headmasters have at school.

 

What is more, one may claim the project activities fostered the development of planning skills of both students’ and teachers’ and it has promoted group work and increased their motivation.
